How Do Authors Create A Strong Branding Visual?

Authors absolutely will get more eye balls to their website and for their social media posts when they use visuals – videos, photos, graphs, charts, memes, logos, symbols, and illustrations. To sell books, go beyond words. Visuals can help sell your book and shape your brand. The good news is you can easily put something together at little or no cost.

If you want to see a cool video that makes you watch over and over -- and then gives you the urge to share, it is this one: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CTZliNbHueE/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

The muscle man is my wife’s cousin. The beautiful woman is his girlfriend. She has a thriving business as a yoga instructor and influencer. Actually, she goes beyond yoga and embraces a holistic way of life and helps others embrace a healthier lifestyle and to find inner peace. So, if you seek tranquility and mindfulness, check out: https://mindit.zone/.

The video has many appealing elements:

·         It cost nothing to make

·         It’s short and simple

·         It was shot at a beautiful, natural location

·         It consists of two healthy, young, attractive people

·         It shows a cool visual (stunt) that many could not pull off

So, what is the lesson here?

Think of how you can make a video that doesn’t even require anyone to speak. Find imagery that gets people’s attention and leaves the viewer feeling drawn to you.

You can use humor, nature, animals, babies, beauty, or any number of popular images to share an empowering message. You don’t need to be a Hollywood producer to pull this off.

Authors all too often are driven by intellect, words, and concepts – and are not as visual as they need to be. Most people think visually. What they see influences how they comprehend messages and make buying decisions.

Authors should consider sprinkling short video content across their channels to spread their message. Make use of the tools and resources that you have – and insert some creativity – and create the imagery that draws eyeballs to you the way the video above is drawing eyeballs to this blog post.
