1.
What inspired you to write the book?
I wrote Thought Menu
because I wanted to remind people that they have the power to change the
thoughts they carry and, ultimately, the way they experience life. So many of
us are weighed down by past experiences, emotional struggles, and the
negativity surrounding us. My desire was to inspire people to shift their Thought
Menu, release what no longer serves them, and begin living lighter, freer, and
more soulfully. At a time when so many people are struggling to find hope, I
want them to remember that their light is needed in this world. We are all part
of a greater collective consciousness, and when we choose love, compassion,
understanding, and forgiveness, we not only elevate ourselves, but we also
bring more light into the lives of others. We were not meant to simply survive
this life. We were meant to awaken, grow, and shine our light.
2.
What exactly is it about and who is
it written for?
Thought Menu is a 365-day journey of positive
messages, spiritual awareness, and conscious choices designed to help people
transform the way they think and experience life. Just as we consciously choose
what we feed our bodies, we must become aware of what we are feeding our minds,
hearts, and souls. Too often, we unknowingly carry thoughts and emotions rooted
in past experiences, fear, disappointment, and limiting beliefs that weigh us
down and keep us from living fully.
Through daily inspiration, Thought Menu encourages
readers to pause, reflect, and become more intentional about the thoughts they
choose to embrace. It is about learning to release the emotional weight of
yesterday, shift from negativity into greater awareness, and begin living
lighter, freer, and more soulfully. At its heart, this book is about personal
empowerment, spiritual awakening, and recognizing that when we change our inner
dialogue, we open ourselves to greater peace, joy, compassion, forgiveness, and
love.
Thought Menu reminds us that we are not defined by
our past experiences or the challenges of this physical life. We have the
opportunity each day to choose again, raise our consciousness, and live more
fully from a heart space of love. In essence, these positive messages are
assisting in recalibrating your nervous system into feeling safe, whole,
grounded, and in greater peace so you go out into the world being lifted.
Thought Menu is written for anyone who desires to
experience life with greater peace, purpose, and awareness. It is especially
meaningful for those who feel overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life,
struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, emotional burdens, or negativity, or
simply feel disconnected from the joy and light within themselves.
It is for the person navigating a difficult season,
healing from past experiences, searching for a deeper spiritual connection, or
wanting to break free from thought patterns that no longer serve their highest
good. It is also for those who are already on a journey of personal growth and
want daily inspiration to remain grounded, centered, and aligned with love.
Most importantly, this book is for anyone who needs
to be reminded that their life matters, their light is needed in this world,
and they possess the power to make conscious choices that can change the
direction of their lives.
3.
What do you hope readers will get out of reading your
book?
My greatest hope is that readers of Thought Menu begin
to recognize just how powerful their thoughts are and how those thoughts
influence the way they experience life. I want them to become more conscious of
the emotional weight they may be carrying from past experiences and understand
that they do not have to continue living from those old patterns, wounds, or
limiting beliefs.
I hope this book inspires them to pause each day,
reconnect with themselves, and realize they have the power to choose a
different Thought Menu—one that nourishes their mind, lifts their spirit, and
brings greater peace, joy, and harmony into their lives.
More than anything, I want readers to experience the
freedom of living lighter, freer, and more soulfully. To move beyond simply
surviving the challenges of this physical world and begin embracing the beauty,
wisdom, and purpose of their spiritual journey.
I want them to rediscover their self-worth, embrace
forgiveness, extend compassion toward themselves and others, and recognize that
their unique light is needed in this world. We are all connected through a
greater collective consciousness, and I believe that when one person chooses to
rise above fear, resentment, and negativity and begins living from a heart
space of love, that transformation has the potential to touch countless others.
If readers finish each day feeling a little more
empowered, a little more peaceful, a little more connected to their souls, and
more aware that they have the ability to choose how they move forward, then
Thought Menu has fulfilled the purpose for which I wrote it.
4.
How did you decide on your book’s title and cover?
I chose the title Thought Menu because I wanted
people to think about their thoughts in the same way they think about the food
they choose to eat. Every day, we have a menu of thoughts available to us, but
are we choosing thoughts that nourish our minds and souls, or are we continually
feeding ourselves from the negative experiences of our past?
The cover design was inspired by that idea of food
for thought, but I also wanted it to represent something much deeper—that we
are energetic, spiritual beings with an extraordinary light and magnificence
within us. I believe we are far more powerful and limitless than we often
recognize, and so many of the answers we seek can be discovered when we become
still enough to connect with the wisdom of our souls.
My hope was that both the title and the cover would
remind readers that they have the freedom and power to choose better thoughts,
shift their inner energy, and begin creating a more peaceful, joyful, and
soulful experience of life.
5.
What advice or words of wisdom do you have for fellow
writers, other than run?
My first advice would be to run! But seriously, I
would tell fellow writers to trust the message within them. Write from your
heart, not from a place of fear or perfection. Every one of us carries
experiences, wisdom, and a unique perspective that someone else may need to
hear.
Don't become so focused on the destination that you
miss the transformation that takes place along the journey. Writing a book is
not just about putting words on paper; it's about allowing your authentic voice
to emerge and having the courage to share it with the world.
And remember, you may write thousands of words, but
it could be one single sentence that changes someone's life. Never
underestimate the power of your words or the light you have been given to
share.
6.
What trends do you see in the book world and where do
you think the book publishing industry is heading?
I believe we are entering a very interesting and
transformative time in the publishing world. With everything happening around
us—technology advancing, the pressures of everyday life, and people searching
for greater meaning—I believe books have an opportunity to become more than
just sources of information or entertainment. They can become instruments of
inspiration, connection, and personal transformation.
One trend I hope continues to grow is the desire for
books that encourage self-discovery, emotional well-being, spiritual awareness,
and a deeper understanding of who we truly are. I believe people are searching
for something meaningful—something that helps them navigate life's challenges,
rediscover their inner strength, and find greater peace and purpose.
I also see publishing becoming more accessible to
independent authors, with digital platforms, audiobooks, podcasts, and social
media allowing writers to connect with readers in ways that were not possible
years ago. I think that is exciting because it allows more authentic voices and
diverse perspectives to be heard.
As technology and artificial intelligence continue to
evolve, I believe the genuine human voice will become even more valuable.
Technology can help us share our stories, but it cannot replace the lived
experiences, heartfelt wisdom, and unique consciousness that each author brings
to their work.
My hope for the future of publishing is that we see
more books that not only inform the mind but also nourish the soul. I believe
words carry tremendous influence, and as authors, we have an opportunity to
contribute something positive to the collective consciousness.
Ultimately, I hope the publishing world continues
moving toward greater authenticity, meaningful connection, and books that
inspire people not just to turn another page, but to turn a new page in their
own lives.
7.
Were there experiences in your own personal life or
career that came in handy when writing your book?
Absolutely! I believe life itself has been one of my
greatest teachers. Through my own personal journey, my metaphysical education,
and my work helping others navigate emotional challenges and limiting beliefs,
I have gained a deeper understanding of how profoundly our thoughts influence
our experiences. As a child of a dysfunctional family, when I left home after
high school it led me to a dysfunctional relationship. Upon leaving home I had
no self-esteem, no confidence and felt pretty worthless and empty. As I
pondered why I was going through this, I traveled within my soul and visually
saw the things I needed to heal in order to break free from that bondage-that
darkness so I could allow myself to be led my God to freedom. The freedom to
learn to be happy, whole, joyful and at peace.
One of the things I've come to recognize is that
people often continue carrying the emotional weight of experiences that
happened years ago. Those experiences can shape how they see themselves, their
relationships, and the possibilities available to them.
I wanted Thought Menu to remind people that while we
cannot always change what has happened in our lives when we were growing up, we
can become more conscious of what we continue to carry forward. We can choose
new thoughts, embrace greater self-worth, and begin living from a place of love
rather than fear.
In many ways, this book is a culmination of the
wisdom I've gained through life, my spiritual journey, and the privilege of
helping others rediscover the light within themselves.
8.
How would you describe your writing style? Which writers
or books is your writing style similar to?
I would describe my writing as inspirational,
spiritually reflective, and transformational. I write from the heart, with the
intention of helping readers awaken to a greater level of consciousness and
recognize the power and light that already exist within them.
I feel a connection to the teachings of authors such
as Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, and Eckhart Tolle, particularly their messages about
the power of our thoughts, spiritual awareness, and personal transformation.
However, I believe every writer brings their own
unique energy, experiences, and wisdom to the page. My approach through Thought
Menu is to take profound spiritual concepts and make them accessible through
simple, meaningful daily messages that encourage readers to shift their
thinking, nourish their souls, and live from a heart space of love.
I don't simply want my readers to finish a page. I
want them to begin a new way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing life. I
write with the wisdom of a spiritual teacher, the compassion of a healer, and
the intention of awakening the light within every reader.
9.
What challenges did you overcome in the writing of
this book?
I would have to say that one of my greatest
challenges was finding the courage to step fully into my own voice and
recognize that the wisdom I have gained throughout my life's journey was not
meant to remain within me. It was meant to be shared.
I believe we each come into this physical world
carrying unique gifts, wisdom, and a divine purpose. As we journey through
life, our experiences, challenges, lessons, and spiritual awakenings add
greater depth to that wisdom. But sometimes, even when we know we have
something meaningful to offer, we hesitate. We question whether our voice will
be heard, whether our message will make a difference, or whether we are truly
ready to step into the light ourselves.
For me, writing Thought Menu was about moving beyond
those questions and recognizing that I had a responsibility to honor the wisdom
within my soul and the experiences that had helped shape my consciousness.
There is a powerful message from Dr. Wayne Dyer that
has always resonated with me: 'Don't die with your music still in you.'
Those words carry such profound meaning because I
believe every one of us has our own music—our unique gifts, talents, wisdom,
and light that we came into this world to express. And what a loss it would be
to leave this physical life without ever sharing that music with others.
I began to realize that somewhere in this world,
there may be someone struggling with fear, self-doubt, grief, or overwhelming
life challenges who needs to hear the very message I have been given to share.
Perhaps one thought, one sentence, or one moment of inspiration could help that
person find hope, rediscover their inner strength, or begin seeing life through
a different lens.
That realization became greater than my hesitation.
Writing this book was not simply about becoming an
author. It was about honoring my soul's purpose, trusting the light within me,
and finding the courage to allow that light to reach others.
One of the greatest lessons I learned through this
process is that we must stop questioning whether our light is bright enough to
shine and begin trusting that someone in this world may be waiting for the very
light we have been afraid to share.
And that is exactly what I hope Thought Menu inspires
others to do—recognize their own magnificence, embrace their gifts, and never
leave this world with their music still inside them.
I think my greatest challenge was finding the courage
to recognize that I had a voice that needed to be heard and wisdom that was
meant to be shared.
I believe we come into this world with unique gifts,
and throughout our lives, we build upon those gifts through our experiences,
challenges, and spiritual growth. But sometimes we allow fear or self-doubt to
keep us from sharing what we have been given.
Dr. Wayne Dyer once shared a beautiful thought:
'Don't die with your music still in you.' That message has always been
incredibly powerful to me.
I realized that the wisdom I had gained wasn't meant
to stay within me. Somewhere, someone might be struggling, searching for hope,
or needing a little light to help them find their way forward.
I had to move beyond the fear of being heard and
recognize that sharing my message was more important than keeping it to myself.
And in many ways, writing Thought Menu became part of
my own spiritual awakening—an opportunity to step into my purpose and allow the
wisdom of my soul to become a gift to others.
Sometimes the greatest challenge isn't finding the
words to write. It's finding the courage to believe that the words within you
are worthy of being heard."
And I especially love this thought for you:
"I realized that if I allowed my fear to silence
my voice, I might also be withholding the very light someone else needed to
find their way out of the darkness.
10. If people can buy or
read one book this week or month, why should it be yours?
Because I believe we all need a little more light in
our lives right now. With so much uncertainty, stress, and negativity
surrounding us, Thought Menu offers something simple but powerful—365
opportunities to pause, become more conscious of our thoughts, and choose a
better way of experiencing life.
It's not a book you have to sit down and read for
hours. It's a daily companion that encourages you to release the emotional
weight of yesterday, rediscover your inner strength, and begin living lighter,
freer, and more soulfully.
And here's what I want people to remember: You are
not powerless, you are not defined by your past, and the light within you is
far greater than you may realize.
If you're going to invest in one book this month, why
not invest in one that reminds you, every single day, of the magnificent person
you already are and the beautiful possibilities still waiting for you? And it
is with great gratitude, honor, and love that I present to all of your
followers, “Thought Menu.”
