1. What inspired you to write this book?
The inspiration for Drop: Making Great Decisions came
from my desire to offer a practical, neuroscience-backed approach to
decision-making and emotional well-being. Throughout my career, I noticed that
traditional therapeutic methods often failed to address the root causes of
emotional triggers, leaving individuals trapped in recurring patterns of
distress. I wanted to create a tool that not only identified these deep-seated issues
but also provided a lasting, effective method for change. This book introduces Dropping
to the Blank Screen, a transformative technique designed to help people break
free from limiting emotional cycles and make choices that align with their true
potential.
2. What is the book about, and who is it
for?
Drop is for individuals who feel like they’re doing
everything right—working hard, being good people—but still struggle to
understand why their lives aren’t turning out as they expected. Unlike other
self-help books that simply discuss emotional struggles, Drop provides a clear,
actionable method to identify and change behaviors that aren’t serving you. It
is ideal for anyone seeking real, lasting transformation—whether in their relationships,
careers, or personal well-being.
3. What do you hope readers will gain from
your book?
This book introduces a revolutionary technique that
helps readers utilize their brain’s innate capabilities for optimal decision-making.
By understanding neuromuscular signals that reveal unconscious emotions,
individuals can work with their brain instead of against it. Drop offers a
practical guide to managing stress, improving sleep, overcoming addictions,
enhancing relationships, and ultimately achieving emotional stability. The
Dropping to the Blank Screen method provides a groundbreaking way to resolve
emotional triggers and experience long-term change.
4. How did you decide on your book’s title
and cover design?
I worked with a professional book cover designer who
interviewed me to understand the essence of the book. We explored multiple
designs, but I ultimately chose the one that resonated with me instinctively.
My goal was to create a cover that would immediately
capture the attention of my target audience and invite
them to explore the powerful
concepts within.
5. What advice or wisdom do you have for
fellow writers—besides run?
Writing is about connection—both with yourself and
your audience. My advice is to
focus on authenticity and clarity. If you write from a
place of deep understanding and
passion, readers will feel that energy and respond to
it.
6. Did experiences from your personal life
or career influence the book?
Absolutely. My 35 years of experience as a therapist
have given me a unique
perspective on emotional resilience and
transformation. I have spent decades teaching
people how to shift from low self-confidence to high
self-esteem, and this book is a
culmination of that work. It’s a reflection of the
countless real-life breakthroughs I’ve
witnessed and a guide to replicating those successes.
7. How would you describe your writing
style?
My writing is structured yet flexible. I begin with a
clear outline and key concepts, then
use real-life examples to illustrate my points. While
I am meticulous about planning, I
also leave room for new insights to emerge, ensuring
my writing remains dynamic and
engaging.
8. What challenges did you face while
writing this book?
As someone experienced in teaching and verbal
communication, translating my
knowledge into writing was a challenge. I went through
several revisions to ensure my
ideas were effectively communicated. The process
required patience and refinement,
but ultimately, it strengthened the clarity and impact
of my message.
9. If readers could only choose one book
to read this month, why should it be
yours?
Drop presents a complete, simple, and highly effective
method for working with the
brain’s natural design to resolve emotional
challenges. Unlike other self-help books that
merely reduce the intensity of life’s triggers, Drop
provides a permanent solution,
ensuring emotional patterns don’t keep resurfacing.
It’s a game-changing approach for
anyone seeking real, lasting transformation.
