Interview With Author Stephen R Kirkendall

1.      What inspired me to write the guide?

When I accepted Jesus as Lord in my life, I was told if you love Jesus, you tithe. Something is wrong than, since less than 1 in 10 tithe. I have seen first-hand the fighting and damage of divorces, church splits and people who don't go to church anymore.

2.      What exactly is it about and written for who?

The guide is about God's honor plus 25 reasons and warnings (some with curses) about not changing what Jesus said. He say's changed scripture is perverted! Written for every Christian and new ones coming!

3.      What do I hope readers will get out of reading the guide?

I hope the readers are reminded that God saw too few were able to keep all the rules and regulations of religion to go to heaven! Jesus opened the gate for everyone that has fruit/evidence of their love for Him and our Father God. It is so easy, as Jesus said. You think you just did something wrong, repent, try harder and never give up helping others as He asked!

4.      How did I decide on the guide's name and cover design?

I believe the cover design is a miracle! While I was working on the guide, I got an email from one of my granddaughters, with the picture of the lion attached. Taylor had gone to the Portland, OR. zoo to see if she could get some good pictures. As she walked up to the lion's cage, she thought she would not get a good one, because he was laying with his head in the shade. When she lifted her camera, the lion lifted his head out of the shade and looked directly in her direction with a look of "do I know you" in his eyes, she took the picture! He lowered his head back down right away. Was it a spirit of God, whose shadow is on the lion's forehead that got his attention? There was no one between Taylor and the lion with the sun overhead!

5.       What advice or words of wisdom do I have for fellow-writers- other than run!?

When you get offers to help be very careful because 95% don't have an end goal!

6.      What trends in the book world do I see — and where do I think the book publishing industry is heading?

Audio books ( easy to clone known voices making then more entertaining). More and more are coming out of school or quit, that can't read!

7.      There were experiences in my personal life and career that came in handy when I was writing the guide!

Hearing firsthand, for over 20 years from those who have been hurt by the body. Being told I'm crazy with spit in my face because her priest said I was crazy since I believe something is necessary for Jesus. And my pastor who said it's not a hill worth dying over! I know Jesus is my best friend so I will not quit!

8.      How would I describe my writing style? Which writers or books is my writing similar to?

I'm more of an investigative reporter and sorry to say I do not read much. As I reread some of what I said about scripture, I know I got help. I'm a very simple man.

9.      What challenges did I have to overcome in writing this guide?

I can't spell or memorize, low average IQ and almost failed high school. After I started writing the guide I lost my career, retirement, wife, home, pastor and church. It's so bad that I almost wish someone would show me I'm wrong! Do crazy people know they are crazy?

10.  If people can buy or read one book this week or month, why should it be mine?

There is nothing more important than God's honor that "is" necessary for Jesus. It's not an instant breakfast but easy to follow. $10,000 reward if I have misused scripture! Think of what a world of peace it could be if people knew God's honor is their time/money helping others. It's too easy, why risk God's wrath or hearing from Jesus depart I knew you not! there are 70 rewards listed in the guide for helping others
