It is only
natural that authors have fears or feelings of inadequacy. You wonder if people
who read your book will like it. You are concerned people won’t even find your
book or know that it exists. Worry no more. Embrace the superhero within you
and market yourself with confidence and conviction.
Have a mantra or motto, something that drives
you and helps you define and distinguish yourself.
Remind yourself why you wrote the book and what
you seek to accomplish. You are on a mission and should buy into it.
Make a list of your fears and concerns — and see
how you can dismiss, avoid, deal with, or conquer each one. Turn a weakness
into an opportunity. Embrace your fears.
Become your avatar by acting as if.
Know that you know your stuff and will succeed
at what you focus on and apply yourself towards.
Just stay one step ahead of others.
You don’t need anyone’s permission to succeed.
Silence the negative voices — don’r let anyone
convince you to give up on your dream.
You know life and marketing a book can be hard,
challenging, painful, and filled with setbacks and losses. So what? Acknowledge
it and then get to business.
