1. What motivated you to write your book, to force you from
taking an idea or experience and turning it into a book? I realized that
most people hate change because it's usually not their idea. Worse, too
many people make big decisions in their life by giving up and giving into
change by saying, "F-it!" so, I thought, what if the
"F" word wasn't a "bad" word? What if it meant
something more...something better and proactive and purposeful...something that
would allow people to proactively make changes that help them live the life
they want to live, rather than simply adapting to and accepting the one they've
got?
2. What is it about and who is it for? This book is
about living your best life. It offers valuable and proven mindsets and
strategies for reframing and repurposing your life. It's for anyone who
feels like they want something more but aren't sure where to begin and aren't
sure how to prioritize and prepare for significant change in their life.
3. What do you hope the reader will be left with after
reading it?
A sense of confidence about who they are and what they want because they will
be more equipped than ever to have clarity and resilience around moving in the
direction of the life they truly want to live, an "F-It-less" life.
4. What advice or words of wisdom do you have for fellow
writers?
I think writing, like many things is life, requires us to be true to who we
are, authentic. Trust your creative gift of imagination and
communication.
5. What trends in the book world do you see -- and where do
you think the book publishing industry is heading? As a new
author, I’m not sure where the industry is heading. Clearly online
bookselling and audio books are growing their audience by the day.
6. What challenges did you overcome to write this book? Not knowing
what i didn't know was certainly a challenge. Writing is one thing,
publishing, marketing, publicity is another.
7. If people can buy or read one book this week or month,
why should it be yours? Most self-help books are from self-help authors
and speakers. I have a successful business background that focused on and
proved that people can live better lives and have better businesses at the same
time. I have coached, taught and consulted some of the most successful
people in the real estate industry for more than 20 years, and f-it-less is a
clearly written book, with easy to absorb and implement ideas and
strategies. Besides, everyone needs some new "F" words in their
arsenal!
