1. What inspired you to write this book? I was inspired by the spiritual world. I have known since the 1990’s I would write a book. I kept it as a dream and then one day, when I went for a reading in 2021, by a trusted medium. I asked to speak with my spiritual council. I was told, by them, that I would be writing this book. They even gave me the name of the book, “Love Heals All Wounds”. I was surprised and did not expect what was given. They told me to just start writing. I never outlined the book like most writers do. I just began writing. It felt awkward at first, but I kept going and my writing changed and evolved into my book. I was spiritually guided through the process.
2. What exactly is it about and who is it written for? The book is about love and fear. My life has been a journey of those two factors. I take the readers through my own journey of how a fear restricted life looks like that many will relate to, and how my life transformed as I learned about Love and the spiritual world that supports our lives if we attune to it. We are all intuitive and have sensitivity, but many times we don’t recognize the value it can play out in our lives. The book is about opening the doors for people who have felt limited or lost in their life to find that love always surrounds you if you let it in. It is a journey of finding yourself from within, like I found myself.
3. What do you hope readers will get out of reading your book? My hope is that they will see a connection of how fear can hold them back from what they really want in life. We all seek love, but fear can paint a distorted picture. We must find love within ourselves and give it to others to truly find our purpose in life. The ego can also create an unrealistic picture of what will make us happy, but we find in the end, a selfless love of compassion to help others.
4. How did you decide on your book’s title and cover design? The title I was given by my spiritual council that stuck like glue. Everything I wrote was based on that title and it seemed to fit. I know that love has healed my wounds that were fear based and it continues on. Fear will always be in and out of our lives, but when you know how to navigate and recognize it, fear has no power over you. My cover design was a challenge, but what I was offered, went back and forth until the designer and reaching out to my closest friends gave me a consensus of the design they loved best. I wanted a glow to LOVE in the title, so the artist gave it a pearl essence and then it was complete.
5. What advice or words of wisdom do you have for fellow writers – other than run!? As a new writer, I had to trust my instincts at a deeper level. You want to write from your heart and what your inner voice is telling you. You want to unfold the depths of what you have learned to help others on their path of discovery with the inner depths of who they are. You must be patient with your journey as a writer. You will have to be willing to face the fears as you are writing that will place barriers and want you to lose faith in what you are writing, but you will continue through those fears because your vision is greater.
6. What trends in the book world do you see – and where do you think the book publishing industry is heading? I see that many people seek some form of enlightenment. They are trying to find answers for their own lives. We are so conditioned in fear that it is easy to get caught up with the negativity we are fed every day. The pressure is building in our society to seek out different alternatives from fear because it is so different from our true nature. I feel the more inner pressure that builds within, the more people are going to be looking for help through books, self-help or improvement programs, etc. People need help finding their way out of a fear driven life.
7. Were there experiences in your personal life or career that came in handy when writing this book? Absolutely. Many of my life experiences I share in my book are how I overcame some of the darkest moments of my life. It also shares what unfolded in my life because I addressed those dark moments. The truth about any life is revealed when you are brave enough to truly forgive and love yourself and let go of misperceptions from the past, what you didn’t see then, but you see now. It’s called healing.
8. How would you describe your writing style? Which writers or book is your writing similar to? I would think my writing style is like any inspirational author. You write from a deep level in your heart. Your words are inspired by a deeper or higher level than a third dimensional world. Your mission is to help others who are experiencing challenges in their life to offer a new thought or direction.
9. What challenges did you overcome in the writing of this book? I wish you could have felt some of the feelings I felt when I most questioned why I was writing this book. There would be times I felt so deeply inspired by what I was writing and then, almost out of the blue, I would start to question it all. That was my fear trying to convince me to give up. Mostly, it was my ego and fear that tried really hard to talk me out of what I was writing. The funny thing is I know why. I was revealing its true nature in my book and the ego and fear did not want it out there.
10. If people can buy or read one book this week or
month, why should it be yours? Love is what we are all seeking. Fear and our ego are what
stands in our way. As an author, I am giving the reader the
acknowledgement that they are smart, have the ability to learn and could use
more inspiration and awareness. I wrote my book from the inspiration I
received to help me achieve dreams manifested and I want that for others.
