For many years, I’ve been intrigued with the aspect of God’s all-pervasive presence. As a child, I read a little booklet that told us to pray as though Jesus were sitting in our bedroom with us (because He is), and from that moment I’ve sought to learn all I could from the Bible about the presence of God. He is omni-present, which means He fills the universe and there is nowhere He is not. But His presence is also personal. That intrigues me so much—both pervasive and personal. So I’ve studied all the passages in the Bible that speak of God’s Presence, His being near us, His being with us, and so forth. The more I’ve studied, the more I’ve marveled. And the practice of God’s presence has been transformational.
