1.
What inspired you to write this
book?
I was inspired to write the
book, Who Is There for Me? about 30 years ago when my husband was injured on
the job and I had a three-year-old child in a state that I did not have family,
just coworkers. I wanted my child to
know that just because my husband was home with him and I was working, I wanted
him to know that his father was still head of household. I was very scared to
be the only one working and didn’t want to let the family down.
2.
What exactly is it about and
who is it written for?
This book is about the struggles I had as a child and
as an adult being isolated by my family and only had the help of strangers or
people that was not related to me but God made away. My husband and I promised each other that we
would always have each other’s back no matter what. This book is written for parents to tell them
that what you say or don’t say to your child will affect them for the rest of
their life. This book is an amazing love
story too.
3.
What do you hope readers will
get out of reading your book?
I hope
readers will understand that a simple, I love you can have a major affect on
your child as well as saying to them you will not be nothing. If you have faith, God will deliver every
time.
4.
How did you decide on your
book’s title and cover design?
I came up with the cover because I am still looking for
the answer to why my family was not there to help me? This picture of my book is taken from my
country home and a picture in my house.
5.
What advice or words of wisdom
do you have for fellow writers—other than run!
To other
writers, I would say write from your heart.
6.
What trends in the book do you
see—and where do you think the book publishing industry us heading?
I see a
trend that God placed strangers in my life when I was at my lowest and I in
turn returned and helped them when they needed help.
7.
Were there experiences in your
personal life or career that came in handy when writing this book?
The experiences in my personal life and career that
came handy was my early faith in God that I felt I received when I would write
God letters to tell him how hurt I felt.
And when my husband showed me that he had my back and could say I love
you and didn’t know me.
8.
How would you describe your
writing style? Which writers or book is
your writing similar to?
My writing style is my own because it is a true story
from the heart which made it easy for me.
9.
What challenges did you overcome
in the writing or this book?
The challenges that I overcame was knowing that I can
see the blessing that I have been given.
10. If people can buy or read one book this week or month, why should it be
yours?
People should read my book to see how many struggles my
husband and children went through and how bless we are for going through the
struggles.
