Book marketing requires one to dig deep into their pockets and minds to come up with the best possible plan and execution of such. Success for authors comes down to this: The best approach is the one where you craft a plan and take ownership of it. But it doesn’t mean you have to or should do it alone. Getting advice, guidance, and help from others will greatly contribute to your growth as an author.
Consult with authors to see things differently than how you see them. “The blind spot barrier exists because different people sees things differently,” writes Ray Dalio, the author of Principles For Success. “It’s a simple fact that no one alone can see all the threats and opportunities around them. If you can look at things with the help of others who can see what you are blind to, you’ll see much more than you can alone.”
He adds: “You just need to let go of your attachment to having the right answers yourself and become open-minded to these other views.”
