1.
What inspired you to
write this book?
I always said I wanted to write a book about working as a
nurse in the emergency department. Every day working is a new experience. I
didn’t initially set out to write about 9/11, but in the end it is one
experience I wanted to share. One that lives on in memory.
2.
What exactly is it
about & who is it written for?
It is about my experience working as a RN on 9/11, in a busy
ER in NYC. It is a firsthand account of what we faced as nurses during that
time & how we were there to help others. It is written for anybody
who is interested about the occurrence of the day. It is also written for all
those who serve, especially in the nursing profession.
3.
What do you hope
readers will get out reading your book?
For them to remember; for them to know of the sacrifices of
the many unnamed people who were there to help others.
4.
How did you decide on
your book title & cover design?
The title ‘One Tuesday Morning’ is to remember the day the
event occurred. The cover shows a nurse facing the ruins of the trade center. I
believe it is eye catching.
5.
What advice or words of
wisdom do you have for fellow writers, other than run?
First, follow your heart. If you believe in
what you have to say, write it. Avoid negative responses; be persistent in
meeting your goals.
6.
What trends in the book
world do you see & where do you think the book publishing industry is
heading?
I am so new to this, it is hard to answer. From my
experience, it takes a lot of money to get published, and nothing is guaranteed.
I think if the publisher is willing to take a chance on publishing your book,
they will do so.
7.
We’re the experiences
in your personal life or career that came in handy when writing the book?
Most definitely!
8.
How would you describe
your writing style; which wrier or book is your writing similar to?
I wrote from my own experience; wrote from my heart. I’m not
sure which writer or book it is similar with.
9.
What challenges did you
overcome in the writing of this book?
First, what to focus on to write Then, the time
allotted to meet deadlines.
10. If people can buy or read one book this week or month, why
should it be yours?
Because it is heartfelt, inspiring and hopeful.
